Role summary
Responsible for strategic leadership of the risk management function. Responsible for defining, developing and implementing strategies to address the risk management challenges facing the organization. These strategies enable the organization to determine the most effective ways to terminate, treat, tolerate or transfer the critical risks faced. Risks include enterprise risk, a broad spectrum of financial risk, operational risks, IT Security, insurance, fraud prevention, regulatory and compliance risks, market risks, product risks, credit risks, environmental, and other areas. Has overall responsibility for subordinates engaged in identifying, investigating, analyzing, evaluating, and controlling risks of all types and for protecting against their occurrence and for the effective management of any failures that occur. Serves as a senior advisor to the executive leadership of the organization on risk and may interact with Board Committees regarding these matters. This is a single incumbent position
