Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises staff and managing operational security issues in the assigned Division or Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This may include the development of detailed plans to deal with specific security threats including risks to executives, employees and guests and financial risks such as theft, piracy, fraud, and other risks to the physical assets of the division / SBU. Additionally, may plan and conduct simulations and drills to test security processes and risks. May liaise with local law enforcement and protective services to ensure coordination of efforts related to security at the Division / SBU. Works closely with the corporate security and other functions to ensure that threats, risks, and losses are identified, evaluated, prioritized and acted upon in a timely fashion. May monitor specific aspects of the security budget. May manage operational security employees at one or more divisional facilities or alternatively may evaluate and contract with outside vendors providing such services. Requires an executive with demonstrated success in a private or public sector organization of equivalent size and complexity.
