Develops back-end server-side functionality, which is indirectly accessed through a front-end website or application. Develops, codes, tests, debugs, and documents back-end server, server-side applications, database components, and APS’s to achieve the objectives of the client group relative to identified development needs. These may be new projects or modifications to existing projects. Works in tandem with front-end developers and graphic designers to join front-end user experiences with back-end functionality. Leverages knowledge of web development methodologies to produce comprehensive solutions, within the agreed quality, service commitment levels, schedules, and budgets. Fully conversant with web development concepts and methodologies and back-end web development languages (PHP, SQL, .NET, Python, C, Ruby) and methods. Typically requires a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and Back-End Development experience.
